Searching for TargetTrack Target (PT)

Search By ID

  1. Open the 'Search By ID' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's TargetTrack Target (PT) submenu, click By ID, or
    • In the Main Window, select TargetTrack Target (PT) from the drop-down list on the button bar, then click on the appropriate 'magnifying glass' button, or
    • A previous TargetTrack Target search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a TARGETTRACKTARGET node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By ID.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by ID' popup.
    • Site is a drop-down list of Sites with which the TargetTrack Targets are associated.
    • Target Category is a drop-down list that contains the predefined System Resources PEPC Target Category.
    • Target ID is an ID of the Target. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Status is a drop-down list that contains the predefined System Resources NIH Action.
    • Stop Status is a drop-down list that contains the predefined System Resources PEPC Stop Status.
    • Protein Name is name of the protein with which the TargetTrack Target record is associated. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Source Organism is a drop-down list of the organisms associated with the TargetTrack Targets.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Characteristics

  1. Open the 'Search By Characteristics' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's TargetTrack Target (PT) submenu, click By Characteristics, or
    • A previous TargetTrack Target search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a TARGETTRACKTARGET node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Characteristics.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Characteristics' popup.
    • Site is a drop-down list of Sites with which the TargetTrack Targets are associated.
    • Source Organism is a drop-down list of the organisms associated with the TargetTrack Targets.
    • Sequence Type is a drop-down list of sequence types associated with the TargetTrack Targets.
    • Construct Type is a drop-down list of construct types associated with the TargetTrack Targets.
    • Status is a drop-down list that contains the predefined System Resources NIH Action.
    • Stop Status is a drop-down list that contains the predefined System Resources PEPC Stop Status.
    • Residue Length is the length of the Amino Acid Sequence. The comparison operator options are in a drop-down list.
    • No of Cys is the number of Cysteines in the Amino Acid Sequence. The comparison operator options are in a drop-down list.
    • Mol Weight is the molecular weight of the Amino Acid Sequence. The comparison operator options are in a drop-down list.
    • e280 is the e280 reading for the Amino Acid Sequence. The comparison operator options are in a drop-down list.
    • pI is the isoelectric point estimate for the Amino Acid Sequence. The comparison operator options are in a drop-down list.
    • Compound Operator allows one to select the logical operator AND or OR to be used between the search criteria. If AND is selected, only those TargetTrack Targets will be returned that fit the search criteria. If OR is selected, those TargetTrack Targets will be returned that fit at least one of them.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Sequence

  1. Open the 'Search By Sequence' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's TargetTrack Target (PT) submenu, click By Sequence, or
    • A previous search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on an TARGETTRACKTARGET node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Sequence.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Sequence' popup.
    • Type allows one to select the sequence type, Protein or DNA.
    • Sequence is the exact sequence that will be matched.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Status

  1. Open the 'Search By Status' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's TargetTrack Target (PT) submenu, click By Status, or
    • A previous search TargetTrack Target can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a TARGETTRACKTARGET node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Status.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Status' popup.
    • Site is a drop-down list of Sites with which the TargetTrack Targets are associated.
    • Source Organism is a drop-down list of the organisms associated with the TargetTrack Targets.
    • Start Date is the earliest date the Action was added to a TargetTrack Target. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • End Date is the latest date the Action was added to a TargetTrack Target. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Action Present Match allows one to select the logical operator AND or OR to be used for matching the actions attached to a TargetTrack Target. If AND is selected, only those TargetTrack Targets will be returned that have all of the selected Present Actions attached. If OR is selected, those TargetTrack Targets will be returned that have at least one of the selected Present Actions attached.
    • Action Not Present Match allows one to select the logical operator AND or OR to be used for matching the actions not attached to a TargetTrack Target. If AND is selected, only those TargetTrack Targets will be returned that don't have any of the selected Not Present Actions attached. If OR is selected, those TargetTrack Targets will be returned that don't have at least one of the selected Not Present Actions attached.
    • Action is a multi-selection checkbox that contains the predefined System Resources NIH Action.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Note

Search By DB Reference List

  1. Open the 'Search By DB Reference List' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's TargetTrack Target (PT) submenu, click By DB Reference List, or
    • In the Main Window, select TargetTrack Target (PT) from the drop-down list on the button bar, then click on the appropriate 'magnifying glass' button, or
    • To replace a previous search by a new one in an active TargetTrack Target(s) View in the Board, on the Board's Search menu click By DB Reference List.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by DB Reference List' popup.
    • Site is a drop-down list of Sites with which the TargetTrack Targets are associated.
    • DB Name is a drop-down list that contains the database names referenced in the TargetTrack Target records.
    • DB ID List is the list of IDs from the DB Name space. The IDs in the list can be separated by space, tab, comma, semicolon, or end of line.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Target ID List

    • Target ID List is the list of TargetTrack Target Target IDs. The IDs in the list can be separated by space, tab, comma, semicolon, or end of line.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Linked ORFs

  1. Open the 'Search By By Linked ORFs' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's TargetTrack Target (PT) submenu, click By Linked ORFs, or
    • In the Main Window, select TargetTrack Target (PT) from the drop-down list on the button bar, then click on the appropriate 'magnifying glass' button, or
    • A previous search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a TARGETTRACKTARGET node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Linked ORFs.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Linked ORFs' popup.
    • Site is a drop-down list of Sites that own the ORFs linked to the TargetTrack Target records.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.
