Searching for X-ray Depositions (XD)

Search By Owner

  1. Open the 'Search By Owner' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's X-ray Deposition (XD) submenu, click By Owner, or
    • In the Main Window, select X-ray Deposition (XD) from the drop-down list on the button bar, then click on the appropriate 'magnifying glass' button, or
    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Owner.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Owner' popup.
    • Owner is the Username of the person who created the X-ray Deposition record. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Lab Protocol is a drop-down list of X-ray Deposition protocols maintained by the lab master.
    • Type is a drop-down list of Type choices, for example 'Pipeline' or 'R and D', maintained by the lab master.
    • Status is a drop-down list of Status choices maintained by the lab master.
    • Labfund is a drop-down list of various sources of funding maintained by the lab master.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Note

Search By ID

  1. Open the 'Search By ID' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's X-ray Deposition (XD) submenu, click By ID, or
    • In the Main Window, select X-ray Deposition (XD) from the drop-down list on the button bar, then click on the appropriate 'magnifying glass' button, or
    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By ID.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by ID' popup.
    • Name is the Name of the X-ray Deposition. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • External ID Name is an editable drop-down list that contains the System Resources URL Base Names of various public genomic and proteomic databases. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • External ID is an ID from the External ID Name space. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • User Label is a user defined label for the X-ray Deposition. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Action

  1. Open the 'Search By Action' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's X-ray Deposition (XD) submenu, click By Action, or
    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Action.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Action' popup.
    • Postion determines the position of the action one is searching for in time. Any will target all the actions attached to a X-ray Deposition, while Last targets only the last one.
    • Item Lab Protocol is a drop-down list of X-ray Deposition protocols maintained by the lab master, and targets the current value in the Lab Protocol field in the X-ray Deposition View.
    • Type is a drop-down list of Type choices maintained by the lab master.
    • Status is a drop-down list of Status choices maintained by the lab master.
    • Labfund is a drop-down list of various sources of funding maintained by the lab master.
    • Start Date is the earliest date the Action was added to a X-ray Deposition. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • End Date is the latest date the Action was added to a X-ray Deposition. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Source Organism is a drop-down list of organisms maintained by the lab master.
    • Action Lab Protocol is a drop-down list of X-ray Deposition protocols maintained by the lab master, and targets the value in the Lab Protocol column of the Action field in the X-ray Deposition View. As a X-ray Deposition can have multiple Lab Protocols associated with it, this value can be different from the value in Item Lab Protocol.
    • Include Retired Actions controls if the retired Actions will be shown in the Action field for the Lab Protocol selected in Action Lab Protocol.
    • Action Present Match allows one to select the logical operator AND or OR to be used for matching the actions attached to a X-ray Deposition. If AND is selected, only those X-ray Depositions will be returned that have all of the selected Present Actions attached. If OR is selected, those X-ray Depositions will be returned that have at least one of the selected Present Actions attached.
    • Action Not Present Match allows one to select the logical operator AND or OR to be used for matching the actions not attached to a X-ray Deposition. If AND is selected, only those X-ray Depositions will be returned that don't have any of the selected Not Present Actions attached. If OR is selected, those X-ray Depositions will be returned that don't have at least one of the selected Not Present Actions attached.
    • Action is a multi-selection checkbox that contains all the Actions associated with the Lab Protocol selected in Action Lab Protocol.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Protocol Tree

  1. Open the 'Search By Protocol Tree' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's X-ray Deposition (XD) submenu, click By Protocol Tree, or
    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Protocol Tree.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Protocol Tree' popup.
    • Type is a drop-down list of Type entries maintained by the lab master.
    • Status is a drop-down list of Status entries maintained by the lab master.
    • Labfund is a drop-down list of various sources of funding maintained by the lab master.
    • Lab Protocol is a drop-down list of X-ray Deposition protocols maintained by the lab master, and targets the current value in the Lab Protocol field in the X-ray Deposition View.
    • Tree Node is a table of Protocol Tree Node Names and Values that needs to be matched. To add a row, a Name - Value pair, to the table, click on the ICON button on the right side of the Tree Node field. To delete a row, select it, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Tree Node field. The Name is a drop-down list of the Tree Node names from the Lab Protocol selected in the Lab Protocol field. The matching of the Values is string-based, thereforeWildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Logical Operator allows one to select the logical operator AND or OR to be used for matching the Tree Node table rows. If AND is selected, only those X-ray Depositions will be returned that fit all of the Name - Value pairs. If OR is selected, those X-ray Depositions will be returned that fit at least one Name - Value pair in the table.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Date

    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Date.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Date' popup.
    • Created By is the Username of the person who created the X-ray Deposition record. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Created Start Date is the earliest date the X-ray Deposition record was created. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Created End Date is the latest date the X-ray Deposition record was created. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Modified By is the Username of the person who last modified the X-ray Deposition record. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Modified Start Date is the earliest date the X-ray Deposition record was modified. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Modified End Date is the latest date of the last modification of the X-ray Deposition record. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Lab Protocol is a drop-down list of X-ray Deposition protocols maintained by the lab master.
    • Type is a drop-down list of Type choices maintained by the lab master.
    • Status is a drop-down Status choices maintained by the lab master.
    • Labfund is a drop-down list of various sources of funding maintained by the lab master.

    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's X-ray Deposition (XD) submenu, click By List, or
    • In the Main Window, select X-ray Deposition (XD) from the drop-down list on the button bar, then click on the appropriate 'magnifying glass' button, or
    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By List.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by List' popup.
    • DB# List is the list of X-ray Deposition Database Nos. The numbers in the list can be separated by space, tab, comma, semicolon, or end of line. Alternatively, if there are DBNo List (LI) records for X-ray Depositions, they can be selected from the dropdown list.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Linked Item List

  1. Open the 'Search By By Linked Item List' popup.
    • In the Main Window, on the Search menu's X-ray Deposition (XD) submenu, click By Linked Item List, or
    • A previous X-ray Deposition search can be replaced by a new one by right-clicking on a XRAYDEPOSITION node in the Search Results Tree and selecting By Linked Item List.
  2. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Linked Item List' popup.
    • Item Type is a drop-down list of Sesame Items a X-ray Deposition can be linked to.
    • Item Nos is the list of Sesame Item Database Nos selected in Item Type. The numbers in the list can be separated by space, tab, comma, semicolon, or end of line. Alternatively, if there are DBNo List (LI) records for the selected Sesame Item, they can be selected from the dropdown list.
  3. Click Search in the search popup.
