Note

Save As New Stock Solution

This saves the Stock Solution as new in the database.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Save As New Stock Solution.

Note

Save Stock Solution

This saves the Stock Solution in the database.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Save Stock Solution.

Note

Delete Stock Solution

This deletes the Stock Solution from the database.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Delete Stock Solution.
  3. Click Remove Stock Solution in 'Are You Sure?' popup.

Note

Refresh Stock Solution

This reverts the data for the Stock Solution to the version in the database.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Refresh Stock Solution.

Note

Clear Stock Solution

This clears the Stock Solution data, i.e. the bottom part of the Stock Solution window.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Clear Stock Solution.

Close Stock Solution

This closes the window.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Close Stock Solution, or click the X button on the window's Title bar.

Print Barcodes

This will print a barcode for this Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Stock Solution menu click Print Barcodes.
  3. In the upper part of the 'Barcode Printer' pop up select the type of barcode that you wish to create.
  4. Fill out the bottom part of the 'Barcode Printer' pop up.
    • Suffixes defines a suffix to add to the barcode.
    • User Data is a User-defined String that could be added to the printer.
    • Barcode Printer is a list of barcode printers identified in Sesame.
    • No. of Copies is the number of copies of the barcode to print.
  5. Click the OK button to print.

Search By Owner

This searches the Stock Solution records of the Default Lab and returns the ones that fit the search criteria in the upper part of the Stock Solution window.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Search menu click By Owner.
  3. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Owner' popup.
    • Owner is the User Name of the person who created the Stock Solution. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • SS Type is the type of the Stock Solution.
    • Reagent is the name of the Stock Solution. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Type is the Lab Resources Type for the Stock Solution.
    • Status is the Lab Resources Status for the Stock Solution.
    • Choosable controls if the Stock Solution is selectable in other Views.
  4. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By Date

This searches the Stock Solution records of the Default Lab and returns the ones that fit the search criteria in the upper part of the Stock Solution window.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Search menu click By Date.
  3. Set the search criteria in 'Search by Date' popup.
    • Created By is the User Name of the person who created the Action Map. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Created Start Date is the earliest date the Action Map was created. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Created End Date is the latest date the Action Map was created. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Modified By is the User Name of the person who last modified the Action Map. Wildcard Characters are allowed.
    • Modified Start Date is the earliest date of the last modification of the Action Map. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Modified End Date is the latest date of the last modification of the Action Map. To set it to an '*', click on it, then clear, or enter an '*', into any of the Year, Month or Day fields.
    • Type is the Lab Resources Type for the Stock Solution.
    • Status is the Lab Resources Status for the Stock Solution.
  4. Click Search in the search popup.

Search By List

This searches the Stock Solution records of the Default Lab and returns the ones that fit the search criteria in the upper part of the Stock Solution window.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Search menu click By List.
  3. Set the search criteria in 'Search by List' popup.
    • DB# List is the list of Stock Solution Nos. The numbers in the list can be separated by space, tab, comma, semicolumn, or end of line. Alternatively, if there are DBNo List (LI) records for Stock Solutions, they can be selected from the dropdown list.
  4. Click Search in the search popup.

Inventory Report

This creates a Table with the basic data and the related Robot Rack numbers for every Stock Solution of the selected type in the Default Lab, and shows it in the Board.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Report menu click Inventory Report.
  3. Set the value in 'Inventory Report' popup.
    • Inventory Report Mode selects the type of the Inventory Report. Select
      • All Transactions to report all the rows from the Amount fields. The Stock Solutions with empty Amount field will be not included in the report.
      • Last Transaction to report the last row from the Amount fields. The Stock Solutions with empty Amount field will be not included in the report.
      • Balance Only to report the last balance from the Amount fields. The Stock Solutions with empty Amount field will be also reported.
      • Balance and Location to report the last balance from the Amount fields and the location fields. The Stock Solutions with empty Amount field will be also reported.
  4. Click Report.

Report

This creates a Text report for the Stock Solution, and shows it in the Board.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Report menu click Report.

Text Report All

This creates a Text report for every Stock Solution in the Default Lab and saves it to the disk.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Report menu click Text Report All.
  3. If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
  4. In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
  5. Click Save.

All

This creates a Table with the basic data and the related Robot Rack numbers for every Stock Solution of the selected type in the Default Lab, and shows it in the Board.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. On the Report menu click All.
  3. Set the value in 'Query' popup.
    • SS Type determines the type of the Stock Solution. Select '*' for any.
  4. Click OK.

Record XML Dump

This creates an XML dump for the Stock Solution record, and saves it to the disk.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. In the Report menu click Record XML Dump.
  3. Set the values in 'XML Report' popup.
    • Inline DTD determines if the Document Type Definition (DTD) should be included in the file.
    • Formatting (indents and newlines) determines if the resulting file should be formatted.
    • File Name is the name of the file. To set it, click on the field, then set the values in the 'Save' popup.
      • If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
      • In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
      • Click Save.
  4. Click Report.

Bulk XML Dump

This creates an XML report for every Stock Solution in the Default Lab and saves it to the disk.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. In the Report menu click Bulk XML Dump.
  3. Set the values in 'XML Report' popup.
    • Inline DTD determines if the Document Type Definition (DTD) should be included in the file.
    • Formatting (indents and newlines) determines if the resulting file should be formatted.
    • File Name is the name of the file. To set it, click on the field, then set the values in the 'Save' popup.
      • If you want to save the file in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
      • In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
      • Click Save.
  4. Click Report.

Add Amount

This adds an amount to the Stock Solution balance.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Amount field.
  3. Enter values in 'Add Amount' popup.
    • Amount Added is the amount that will be added to the Amount Balance.
    • Unit is the unit for the Amount Change and the Amount Balance. The list of unit choices is maintained by the lab master.
    • Description is the reason for the change.
  4. Click OK in the 'Add Amount' popup.

Subtract Amount

This subtracts an amount from the Stock Solution balance.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Amount field.
  3. Enter values in 'Subtract Amount' popup.
    • Amount Taken is the amount that will be subtracted from the Amount Balance.
    • Unit is the unit for the Amount Change and the Amount Balance. The list of unit choices is maintained by the lab master.
    • Description is the reason for the change.
  4. Click OK in the 'Subtract Amount' popup.

Add External Reference

This adds a new row to the External Reference field.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the External Reference field.
  3. Enter data into the editable columns of the new row.
  4. The item must be saved before changes in the database occur.

Display External Reference

This opens the selected row from the External Reference table in the default browser if there is a URL defined for it.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a row in the External Reference Field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the External Reference field.

Remove External Reference

This removes the selected row from the External Reference table.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a row in the External Reference field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the External Reference field.

Add File

This uploads one or more Files from the disk and attaches them to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field.
  3. Set the values in 'Add Row' popup.
    • User Label is the user label.
    • Format determines if one or more Files will be added. To set it, click on the field, then click the format that you want to use.
      • File if only the selected File will be added.
      • Folder if all the Files from the selected Folder will be added.
      • Folder with Subfolders if all the Files from the selected Folder and all the Subfolders will be added.
    • File Name is the name of the file or folder depending on the selected Format. To set it, click on the field, then set the values in the 'Select File' popup.
      • In the Look in list, click the drive or folder that contains the Files you want to add.
      • In the folder list, locate the folder that contains the Files, and if the Format is File, open it.
      • Click the File if the Format is File, otherwise click the folder.
      • Click Select File.
    • File Type is the Lab Resources File Type of the File.
  4. Click Add File.

Note

Add File from the Web

This gets a File from the Web and attaches it to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field.
  3. Set the values in 'Add Row' popup.
    • User Label is the user label.
    • URL is the Web address of the File. Only the HTTP URL scheme is supported, and it must include the 'http://' prefix.
    • File Type is the Lab Resources File Type of the File.
  4. Click Add File.

Display File in the Board

This displays a File attached to the Stock Solution in the Board.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Alternatively, you can
    • select a File (a row) in the Files field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field, or
    • drag a File (a row) from the Files field to an open area of the Board and drop it, or
    • double-click on a File (a row) in the Files field.

Display File in its Associated Application

This opens a File attached to the Stock Solution using its associated application .

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Alternatively, you can
    • select a File (a row) in the Files field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field, or
    • right-click on a File (a row) in the Files field.
  3. Click OK in 'Open with...' popup.

Edit File User Label And Type

This updates the User Label and the File Type for a File attached to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a File (a row) in the Files field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field.
  3. Set the values in 'Edit File Information' popup.
    • User Label is the user label.
    • File Type is the Lab Resources File Type of the File.
  4. Click Update.

Save File

This saves Files attached to the Stock Solution to the disk.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a File (a row) in the Files field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field.
  3. If you want to save the File in a different folder, locate and open the folder, or, in the File Name box, type the name for the folder.
  4. Click Save.

Remove File

This removes a File from the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a File (a row) in the Files field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field.
  3. Click Remove File in 'Are You Sure?' popup.

Link File

This adds a File already attached to a record to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window visible in the Board.
  2. Make the other window that contains the record that has the File already attached active in the Board.
  3. Select a File (a row) in the Files field of the other record, then drag and drop it to the Stock Solution window's Title bar.

Add Image

This uploads one or more Images from the disk and attaches them to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Images field.
  3. Set the values in 'Add Row' popup.
    • User Label is the user label.
    • Format determines if one or more Images will be added. To set it, click on the field, then click the format that you want to use.
      • File if only the selected Image will be added.
      • Folder if all the Images from the selected Folder will be added.
      • Folder with Subfolders if all the Images from the selected Folder and all the Subfolders will be added.
    • File Name is the name of the file or folder depending on the selected Format. To set it, click on the field, then set the values in the 'Select Image' popup.
      • In the Look in list, click the drive or folder that contains the Images you want to add.
      • In the folder list, locate the folder that contains the Images, and if the Format is File, open it.
      • Click the Image if the Format is File, otherwise click the folder.
      • Click Select Image.
  4. Click Add Image.

Add Image from the Web

This gets an Image from the Web and attaches it to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Images field.
  3. Set the values in 'Add Row' popup.
    • User Label is the user label.
    • URL is the Web address of the Image. Only the HTTP URL scheme is supported, and it must include the 'http://' prefix.
  4. Click Add Image.

This displays an Image attached to the Stock Solution in the Board.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.

    • drag an Image (a row) from the Images field to an open area of the Board and drop it, or
    • double-click on an Image (a row) in the Images field.

Display Image in its Associated Application

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Alternatively, you can
    • select an Image (a row) in the Images field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Images field, or
    • right-click on an Image (a row) in the Images field.
  3. Click OK in 'Open with...' popup.

Edit Image User Label

This updates the User Label for an Image attached to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select an Image (a row) in the Images field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Images field.
  3. Set the values in 'Edit Image Information' popup.
    • User Label is the user label.
  4. Click Update.

Save Image

This saves Images attached to the Stock Solution to the disk.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select an Image (a row) in the Images field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Images field.
  3. If you want to save the Image in a different folder, locate and open the folder, or, in the File Name box, type the name for the folder.
  4. Click Save.

Remove Image

This removes an Image from the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select an Image (a row) in the Images field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Images field.
  3. Click Remove Image in 'Are You Sure?' popup.

Link Image

This adds an Image already attached to a record to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window visible in the Board.
  2. Make the other window that contains the record that has the Image already attached active in the Board.
  3. Select an Image (a row) in the Images field of the other record, then drag and drop it to the Stock Solution window's Title bar.

Note

Add Info

This adds a new row to the Info table.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the Info field.
  3. Enter data into the editable columns of the new row.

Remove Info

This removes the selected row from the Info table.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a row in the Info field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Info field.
  3. Click Remove Info in 'Are You Sure?' popup.

Email Info

This emails the selected Info to the User who created the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Employee Record window active in the Board.
  2. Select a row in the Info field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Info field.
  3. Click Send Email in 'Are You Sure?' popup.

Add Linked Item

This explicitely links an item to the Stock Solution.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window visible in the Board.
  2. Alternatively, you can
    • Drag and drop a tree node from the Search Results tree in the Main Window to the Stock Solution window's Title bar.
    • Drag and drop a row from the Linked Items field of an Item already in the Board to the Stock Solution window's Title bar.

Display Linked Item in the Board

This displays the Items linked to the Stock Solution in the Board.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Alternatively, you can
    • select a row in the Linked Items field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Linked Protocols field, or
    • drag a row from the Linked Items field to an open area of the Board and drop it, or
    • double-click on a row in the Linked Items field.

Unlink Linked Item

This removes an explicitely linked item from the Linked Items field.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Select a row in the Linked Items field, then click on the ICON button on the right side of the Files field.
  3. Click Unlink Item in 'Are You Sure?' popup.

Note

Display URL

This displays the website associated with the Stock Solution in the default web browser.

  1. Make the Stock Solution window active in the Board.
  2. Click on the ICON button on the right side of the URL Field.
